Description:
Sodium copper chlorophyllin is a water-soluble, semi-synthetic mixture of sodium, copper, and chlorophyllin. It is obtained by replacing the magnesium ion in chlorophyll with copper and adding sodium. This makes the molecule more stable and water-soluble compared to natural chlorophyll. Sodium copper chlorophyllin powder is bright green in color and is commonly used as a food coloring agent and dietary supplement. 
In addition, sodium copper chlorophyllin is commonly used as a natural green food coloring in products like ice cream, candies, pasta, and beverages. It is approved by the FDA and EU for use in food and considered safe in small amounts.
